Hot Glue

Working with hot glue takes a deft touch and some dexterity. Using a hot glue gun with ease takes experience and repeated working with the same materials. Some glue gun users do not like a cord to get in their way and use a cordless glue gun. Sometimes when working on a single project the crafter or hobbyists will require different temperatures of glue for appropriate temperature sensitive materials.

Multiple temperatures of hot glue available from the same gun will allow brisk completion of a series of joins and fastenings. The transparency of hot glue gives hobbyists working with it an "invisible" effect suitable in gifts, products, or crafts.

Hot glue can be washable and stay intact inside the project garment or household furnishing. Using hot glue can be more forgiving of mistakes than hard chemical adhesives which solidify too fast for practical crafting use. Using glue to baste garments and test out sample projects can be more time effective than sewing. Hot glue can be obtained in glue stick form in permanent and semi-permanent varieties.

In some temperatures and altitudes some hot glue products may not perform consistently. With experience crafters and hobbyists will find the brand of hot glue they like for consistency, permanence, and washability.
